  • All Ireland Intermediate Hurling Final in Dungarvan Monday 29th October against Wexford, Seamus Hayes (Wing Forward), Niall Murphy (Corner-Forward) Chris Corcoran (Selector). The club congradulates them on wining the All-Ireland.
  • Junior Hurlers qualified for the County-Final with a win over west Cork Champions Diarmuid O'Mathuna's
  • <<Website Vote of Sympathy>>
    This Website would like to express sympathy with the families of Brian Minihane and Paddy O'Donoghue, both members of the Courcey Rovers GAA club, who died recently.
    Brian was a member of the victories Courceys U21 Football team who won the S.East championship for the first time this year, he was also captain of the non-exam hurling team that won the county in that competition.
    Paddy was an ever present at all Club matches and activities and he was awarded the Hall of Fame award in 1998 for his services to the club.
    Sympathy is also expressed to the Downing, Hegarty and Twomey families who have also suffered tragic losses during recent months.
    May they rest in Peace.
  • The Minor Hurlers are through to the County Final after their victory over Millstreet in the Semi-Final
  • Well done to Niall Murphy, Seamus Hayes and Chris Corcoran have helped Cork into an All-Ireland Intermediate Hurling Final against Wexford which will take place on the Sunday of the October Bank Holiday.

  • Well done to the Junior Hurlers in beating Grenagh to make it to the last 4 in the county
  • Courcey minor B Hurlers qualify for the county semi-final with a great win over Cobh.
  • Hard luck to the Junior Footballers in the south East Final against Kinsale.
  • Well done to Michael O'Donovan who won an All Ireland Hurling medal with the Cork Minors in their win over Galway in the final.
  • Well done to the junior hurlers who overcame Ballinhassig in the South East Final in a game that will be unfortunately be remembered for the wrong reasons.

  • Junior Hurling Final on Sunday 2nd September while the football final is on the 15th September.
  • Junior A Hurlers beat Ballygarvan well to qualify for the South East Final.
  • Junior B hurlers lose to Ballinhassig in the semi final of the hurling championship.

  • Seamus Hayes and Niall Murphy were on the Cork Intermediate Hurling team that beat Clare in the Munster Final, and each of the lads contributed 0-2 to the final tally, they now go on to play Galway in the All-Ireland Semi-Final. Chris Corcoran was a Selector on this team.
  • B'Special Hurlers overcome Crosshaven in the first round of their championship
  • Our Minor Hurlers beat Ballymartle in the championship.
  • Our U21 hurlers go down badly to Ballinhassig in the semi final of S.E. championship.
  • Our Junior Footballers beat Ballymartle in the first round and now go on to play Ballinhassig in the next round.
  • The next three weeks see our U21, minor Hurlers and our Junior  Footballs take the field in their respective championships, best of luck.

  • U21 footballers start July on a great note by virtue of their great win over Clyda Rovers, We are now through to the Semi-Final of the U21 County where we will play Nemo (Bring 'em on)

  • Camogie Senior team loose first round of county championship to Fr. O'Neills 
  • U21 footballers take on Clyda Rovers in the first round of the County championship on Sunday 1st July at Donoghamore...Best of luck
  • It is hoped to have an official opening of the dressing rooms in a few weeks, 
  • Courceys Underage and camogie clubs hosted teams from Derry over the Feile weekend and everything ran off smoothly, it was the first major showing of the new dressing rooms and they more than passed inspection, kittles, bulker-boilers, saucepans of hot water and sandwiches (ham, ham and cheese, ham without the ham, and ham) were the order of the day and the club would like to thank everyone for making sambo's for the visiting teams as well as Clonakilty, Watergrasshill and Roscommon, as well as the families who hosted the visiting teams.
  • Courceys U21 Hurlers got their campaign off to a good start with a comprehensive win over near neighbours Valley Rovers.
  • Carrigdhoun Senior Hurlers win against Midleton in the first round of the county Senior Hurling championship, they now go on to play Douglas in the next round. Courcey members of the Carrigdhoun panel are Seamus Hayes, Niall Murphy and Brian Hayes (C.P.)
  • Well done to Seamus Hayes who again played with Cork Intermediates in their win over Waterford in the Munster Semi Final. They now play Clare in the Munster Final at a venue and Date to be decided. Niall Murphy was also a member of the panel.
  • Lotto was won so back to the small money again...
  • Michael O'Donovan and David Murphy are still in the training panel  with the Cork Minors who are also into the Munster Final which will be played in Cork on 1st July 
  • Club meeting on Tuesday 12th to discuss the Annual Draw and when it will be held after being postponed due to the foot and mouth, as some people from Kildare!!! who bought tickets are getting strapped for cash....
  • Junior Hurlers beat Carrigaline in 1st Rd. South East Championship 
  • Dressing rooms are opened on a limited basis, 
    U14 Feile Na Gael being held in Cork and Courceys are playing host to two teams from Derry over the weekend of June 23rd, the dressing rooms are planed to be in full swing for these games...

  • Carrigdhoun Footballers playing the 1st Rd. Replay against Naomh Aban, best of luck to the Courcey contingent, hopefully one or two more players will make it this week.
  • Best of luck to Seamus Hayes (Wing-forward), Seamus Hurley( Sub-Goalie) and Chris Corcoran (Selector) in their match with Cork Intermediate's against Limerick at Pairc Ui Chaoimh, in the first round of the Munster Championship, which acts as a curtain-razor to the Senior Game between the same two counties.
  • Any Club Members wanting tickets for Cork/Limerick game, need to contact club officers by the Thursday before the game.
  • Courceys played in the Donoghamore Hurling Tournament, with wins over Kilbree, Watergrasshill and lost to Dromina in the Final.
  • Well done to Nealie Collins (Selector), John Murphy (Captain), Brian Hayes (CastlePark), Seamus Hurley, Vincent Hurley, Declan Murray and Seamus Twomey who were are involved with the Carrigdhoun Footballers in this years County Senior Football Championship, they drew with Naomh Aban in the first round, replay fixed for Saturday 26th May.

  • Pitch reopened after the winter break, no more need for the wollies as in the Old Head.
  • Well done to Noelle Collins, Marrion O'Donovan and John Quinn(Selector) who were involved with Cork Minor Camogie team that beat Tipp in the Munster Final.
  • We started out in defence of our Junior Hurling All-County cup with a good win over Meelin in the first round.
  • Well done to David Murphy and Michael O'Donovan who played for Cork Vocational Senior hurling team in the All-Ireland Final against Galway in Limerick in the curtain razor to the National Hurling League Final 
  • Friday 4th April and Courceys are crowned the Cork County Junior Hurling Millennium Champions after a great win over Carrigaline, whom we meet again in the Divisional Championship first round in 5 weeks.

  • All roads lead to Pairc Ui Rinn on Friday 4th May for the Final of the Millennium Hurling Championship, against Carrigaline who we are also meeting in the first round of the South East championship on the 9th June.
  • Junior and B Special hurling teams had good wins over Valley Rovers, Mahuna's and Bandon in the Inter-Divisional leagues.
  • Pride of place for April goes to our U21 Footballers won won the South East A football title for the first time in our history, after a great final against reigning champions and near neighbours Kinsale. See Special Page
  • 2000 B Special Final against Shamrocks ended in a draw, no date set for the replay
  • The Website needs people to email in the results of all matches especially under-age and camogie so as to put these results up on the site, a little note on the match would also be helpful. 
  • Our U21 footballers created history by getting to the South East Final for only the third time in our history, with a great win over our near neighbours Valley Rovers in the replay of the semi-final at Kinsale, see match fixtures for details. We play our other neighbours and reigning champions Kinsale in the final.
  • Junior footballers loose out to Donoghamore in the first round of the 2001 All County Cup, in a game that we should have won.
  • B'Special Hurlers start league campaign of against shamrocks, which is doubling up as the Final of the 2000 South East Junior B league final. Report next week.

  • U21 Footballers draw with Valley Rovers in semi-final of S.E. championship after extra time.

  • Congratulations to Club Members Brendan and Niall Murphy on winning the first prize in the county board draw for March, they are off to Australia in the new year, but rumor is they are coming back

  • U21 Footballers beat Tracton in extra time, they now play Valley Rovers in the next round.
  • U21 Footballers play Tracton in the first round of Championship, see results page.
  • We will play Banteer in the Semi Final of the Millennium cup after they beat Killworth in the 1/4 final.
  • Junior Hurling and Football leagues have now restarted after the foot and mouth scare, lets hope we can finish them.  See Results page for details.

  • At the recent meeting of the County Board Courceys got the following match to host. 
    County I.F.C. Carrigaline V Newcestown (Sat 14th April)
  • Matches are back on the agenda after the F&M scare, the junior hurlers are down to play Carrigaline on Sunday 25th in the Old head for the first game of the 2001 Hurling league, while the B Specials are away to Randle Og.
  • Championship dates and times have been fixed, check out the fixtures page.
  • Clubs Annual £15 draw has been postponed as well, new date of draw not known yet, we'll keep ye posted.

  • Ticket sellers are out in force this weather, so if there is a knock on your door in the evening, its more than likely members selling Courceys famous £15 draw tickets
  • Junior Footballers got the league off to a good start with a fine win over Ballymartle in the first junior match in the old head for about 40 years.
  • Juvenile AGM held in Ballinspittle hall, in which secretary of 30 years Kathleen O'Donovan stepped down from the job that she had held since the founding of the Under Age club... 
  • Draws for the South-East and All-County Junior (Millennium) Championships are made...Look out for details on the next upload..

  • Work is still ongoing in the new club dressing rooms and hall complex every Tuesday night and all help is very much appreciated

  • The two pitches have been closed as work is to be carried out on them, like re-sodding and draining, and the training and matches are being held in the Old Head for the next few months....Bring yer woolies
  • We beat Castletownroche in Quarter Final of Millennium Hurling.

  • Club AGM on in Ballinspittle Hall Sunday 7th January @6:30.

  • Annual Dinner Dance held in Bandon Saturday Night 20th.
  • New Years Day Annual Club Puc Fada was again a great success with 22 teams of 4 taking part.
